Matthew Casteel

Just as the group of walkers on the Stop The Bombs International Peace Walk was getting ready to start walking again after a break I noticed a person begin dropped off with a back pack. I asked one of the walkers if they knew this person and they told me that they didn't know his name but he had joined them the day before and walked with them. I was curious to find out who this person was so later that evening when we arrived at our stop I sat down with him to talk about why he joined us.

His name is Matthew Casteel and most folks call him Matt. He is a student at Virginia Inter-Mount College in Bristol Virginia and he is also a member of the Aappalachian Peace Education Center or as he calls it APEC.

Matt stated - "When I heard about this walk coming through this area and I discovered it was a peace initiative I became interested. I really like being around a group of people so dedicated to their ideals and that are so passionate about their issues".

Well Matt, it is great to have you aboard and your willingness to join in this walk for peace inspires us to keep walking for our vision on peace. Thanks and good luck.
