Welcome all to the Council.
The basic format for the forum will be as follows: I'll post a piece for responses, read the responses then repost and read and repost and read, until either there are no responses or a decision is made to move on anyway. This first post is a rough mission statement/explanation of what this group is. Please read and respond until there is no response left, as it is important that each piece is solid.
The Council of Elders is an entity whose purpose is to test refine and apply the written aspects peace possible political platform, in the form of an email forum where my ideas will be posted, debated. In the long run, this will be a testing not only of the platform in it's written form but my character as well as the process that is the essential ingredient in transformation. The council consists of a full spread of the spectrum of points of view from the generation before my own ("generation x"). This ensures that the wisdom of age is not forgotten when what are now the younger generations come to power. Ideally, the council will include persons from as many races, nationalities, religions, genders and social classes as possible.
