Military Families Speak Out
Jeremy's location, packages and phone bills.

I had asked Jeremy the other day if he was in Iraq now and this was how he replied on Thursday: "Dad, Can't say anything about the mission here. Let us just say that we have been doing good things as a company for everyone involved here." I am quite sure he is or has been in Iraq, as he flies medevac helicopters (air Ambulance) and would be where the action is.

Jeremy is still getting packages, even though he is on the move (or at least I believe he is on the move). Packages and mail can take up to 75 days. I'm sure delivery time is effected by the unit our loved ones is deployed with and how far forward they are.

Just a suggestion on phone bills. I use USA Datanet which does not require you to do away with your current long distance carrier because you use an access number. There are no sign-up or monthly fees, and no hidden fees. You can call Germany for 8.9 cents per minute. Kuwait is 27.9 cents a minute. Note: You can not call cellphones overseas. For long distance in the states they have 2 or 3 plans. I pay 4.9 cents a minute. I do know you can not sign-up in all states but you can call any state. If you want to try it out call 1-877-499-2368, say you were referred by Berta McKenzie (my mom), the registered phone # is 716-772-7502; that credits my mom $1.99 which will help with my calling for MFSO.

Peace, Jeff
