I have Good News and Bad News.

First the Good News!!! Jeremy should arrive home June 8th, that's the official word now, unless it changes.

The Bad News!!! As you know Jeremy is a helicopter pilot that flies medical missions, and they are in short supply, so always in demand. He has already been told it is very possible they will be being deployed again in the next 6-9 months, possibily to Iraq. Jeremy hopes to be out of his unit before then, as he was taking on a new job title in December.

His wife, Nicole is also hoping to get out of the Guard next June, she was not deployed this time. Nicole's stepdad is presently deployed in Baghdad.

As long as President Bush remains in office, I am afraid we are going to see continuous war, to keep the focus off other things, like: a troubled economy, domestic policy and questions concerning 9-11. Fear will remain high, loss of civil rights and liberties will continue, foreign relations will further erode with former allies, etc. But of course, the defense contractors will reap tremendous gains, the U.S. empire will expand, we will see more flag waving and of course, we will see more signs saying God Bless America.

Peace, Jeff
