Two separate civil disobedience actions were taken by Peacemakers during the protest at the Y12 Complex at Oak Ridge Tennessee in August, 2002.
The complex was closed by a barrier that was placed across the extrance road. Patrick Liteky, symbolic body in hand, climbed the barrier and was promptly arrested by Federal authorities.
While the protest was focusing on the barrier to Y12 a separate group of protesters formed a human barrier across the road going to the entrance to the Y12 Complex. After a picnic like street performance they were arrested by local authorities and hauled off to jail. Jeff McKenzie was in this goup of "merry" people.
