Wow…we again have been totally spoilt and as we sit in the Ballantrae Café that we have taken over….Maggie (the cookin’ Mama) is making ANZAC cookies in the kitchen. The whole café is filled with the smell of delicious home baking. Maggie has delightfully cooked for us for the two days, including Jamie’s Birthday cake that was a total surprise. We have all had a totally relaxing day and one that seemed to have gone way to quick. Cameron and Jamie took the day to explore the local beach and surroundings. Bernie has spent the day reading and writing. Dan has been missing for a long while, taking a rest from cooking and walking!! Marcus has had his usual once a one month shower and shave, while Chipper has rolled another ciggy and is reading the paper. We have all made use of the relaxed and casual mood of the insides of Ballantrae Café. Jim, Maggie and family have been truly amazing and we feel we are part of the family. Especially as I write there are board games scattered over the tables of the café with much laughter and fun with the “Pictionary” crew. The Chess crew are a little more subdued.

Hey fellow walkers,

Reading these updates puts me right back on the walk with you. What terrific times you're having. And through such beautiful country. I look forward to each new update with great anticipation.

Thank you so much for keeping at it every day. Every step you take cleanses the earth and offers a prayer for a nuclear free future. You are truly wonderful people and I miss you all.

love,

Jon
