Finally a day of sunshine!! Mark & his dog Ozzie, from the Barnsley Friends joined the walk today and happily carried the Australia anti-nuke banner.

Walking into Sheffield we noticed along the road how many people had been affected by the floods, with much furniture, carpet and personal belongings dumped at the side of the road. For many miles into Sheffield sand bags lined the streets.

The Sheffield Quakers had provided us with a space to sleep, a meal and a public meeting this evening. The event was well attended including a couple of musicians. We shared in our stories from the walk and what is happening in Australia.
