On Friday evening we made our way to the Newbury Police Station to congratulate our 4 walkers who had participated in an act of Civil Disobedience at the front gates of AWE this afternoon. There act was a symbolic gesture of defiance against the might of the state and military-industrial complex. Each person was released after a few hours with unconditional bail with a date to appear before the court to hear the case under the new Ministry of Defences’ ByLaws Section 7 – “obstructing the highway”. Well done to all those who participated!! Great effort.

We had a few days to relax and hang out at the Newbury Quakers before we began our last week into London for the finish of this walk.
