This is a peacehq endorsement of the NRDC, the Natural Resources Defense Council. This is John Toren, one of the Stewards of peacehq, and I want to pass this information on to those of you who may be interested in this organization. I have been a member for several years now and about every two months I receive a news paper from the NRDC with articles about the latest environmental campaigns waged by the NRDC made possible by support from it’s members. Not only do you get the latest on the campaigns that are being waged to help save the environment but you also get the VICTORIES that have been won because of your support. It makes me feel good when I read about these victories!
I have previously posted some of these stories and will continue to do so and I thought that those of you who read them might just want to know a little more about where they came from. The latest posting will be from the NOV/DEC 2008 news paper titled “Wolves Win as Administration Backs Down”. I also love their mission statement: “The mission of the Natural Resources Defense Council” is to safeguard the Earth: it’s people, it’s plants and animals, and the natural systems on which all life depends”. We at peacehq could not have written a better mission statement than that of the NRDC and we strive to continue to do the same thing as part of our everyday lives.
