Peacemakers On The Scene

National March on D.C. - 01/18/2003

The demonstration was incredible.  There was no place on the mall that I could stand and get a perspective on how big it was.

All I could see was people.  Even when we left on the march part, and went on a street that went uphill so you could look back, all I could see was people.

Reports vary as too numbers, anywhere from 30,000 to 800,000.  All I know is that it was huge.  And we haven't even commenced with the next stage of the war.

Tim Kraus was with us and he has a digital camera, so as soon as he can figure out how to email the pictures, I'll send them to you.  I think he got some good ones.  The Washington Post had a picture on the inside that you can see my face right below a banner that clearly says Cincinnati.

The next protest is Feb 15 in New York.  Our son Jacob intends to go, but I doubt that I will.  It is being organized by United for Peace, which I like much better than International ANSWER
