Hi!
Everything here in Melbourne is fine. Plans for the conference and walk are proceeding smoothly as is possible, some last minute changes and challenges, as people's plans change and for some individuals visa problems persist. Marcus has put a lot of time and effort into planning and has assembled a wonderful team of capable individuals to take on various task. It is Marcus's birthday (11-7) today and his best present has to be Atsuko (his wife) arriving from Japan this evening. Atsuko's birthday is next Thursday. We start setting up camp on the grounds of the university on Tuesday, I can't wait. Looks like around 30-50 walkers will be starting the walk at Roxby Downs , the number fluctuates daily and some people will show up unannounced, while some of the international walkers might get there request for visas turned down. Of course, we will have lots of walkers joining us on this walk for a week or two or longer also.
