Well one set of three is loaded and ready! If the trailer looks familiar it is our run/walk support trailer used in this years Stop The Bombs Walk and the Nulcear Free Future Run. I don't know who was more ready for this, me or these varmits.
Next batch! This was my reform school group. The nastiest bunch of scum bags you will ever meet! These evil little creatures accounted for most of the scars I carry as well as the shot in the face I received yesterday! Still I love them very much!
You can tell by the surroundings that we managed to get them into a pretty deep forest down close to the Ohio river. The one that is looking at me in the first picture has already departed from the left cage. I wasn't sure what they would do but every one took their own sweet time leaving. They first just stuck their noses out of the cage door and gradually walked out, sniffing and gawking, finally making their way up into the woods.
This is how they looked as they ventured into their new home. It was nice seeing them with their tails down for a change! It was a wonderful beautiful thing Jim and I experienced while we waited until the last one finally disappeared into the forest. It was truly worth all we put in to rescue these creatures and to nuture and care for them until they could make it on their own. It confirmed my conviction that ALL LIFE IS SACRED!
