Y12 Sunday Evening Prayer Vigil - December, 2004
This was a really cold Sunday and the wind was really blowing hard. Prayers in the form of song were being sung and as it got dark the lights on the giant Christmas tree lit up. I thought it strange to be looking at a symbol of Christmas and Peace on Earth and then look beyond the fence to the guarded gates and see the security guard with his gun and binoculars. Protecting the facility from the obvious threat of the 7 people freezing but together in prayer in front of the gates.
