Stop The Bombs International Peace Walk - 2005

The core group of walkers numbers about 25. Each day they will be joined by 15 to 25 "day walkers" who join the walk through the community they live in. By the time New York is reached some 1300 walkers will have taken part in the walking prayer on this historic event. Also at the over night locations the local citizens who support the effort to rid Mother Earth of the "nuclear nightmares" generously provide cover dish dinners and breakfasts for the walkers. At dinner many local folks will join in the eating and will have conversations as well as talks from the walkers. It is not unusual to have as many as 50 and some times hundreds at these informal get-to-gethers so by the time the walk is over many thousands have participated in this noble effort.
