Run For Freedom

The Run For Freedom was first established in 1997. The main goal of the run was to bring the issue of political prisoners before public scrutinity. The Leonard Peltier case was the "Poster Child" of the run.

Over the years the Run was asked to participate in other actions. The Leonard Peltier Defense Commitee, The Zapatista Coalition and the Hiroshima Flame Walk requested and received participation by the Run For Freedom.

Hundreds of folks from all walks of life and many different cultures and countries have taken part in this annual event.
