This is for INGE!! Oh my gosh! I was just searching for pictures from the Selma to Montgomery march just to have a picture on my desktop on my computer! And would you look it's my friend from the 40th anniversary march!! This is Erica, the black Erica. Remember there were two of us on the march. One white and one black! hahaha Anyway! It was so refreshing to see your picture and read your story about the march! Wasn't it wonderful! I did the bridge crossing last year as they do every year. Utsumi was there and the woman that is usually with him. I'm sorry I forget her name. So three of us made it back! The SCLC does the bridge crossing every year and the full 54 miles every 5 years! So hopefully you guys can make it back in 2010! LET'S DO IT AGAIN!! I was so blessed to meet you and talk with you. How did your march up to D.C. after the Selma march go? I think you were going to D.C. I think about all of you trekking across the nation and pray that you're having a good time, getting rest, and that people are taking notice and listening to what you are doing: MAKING A DIFFERENCE! You go girl! I'm proud of you! Please email me back when you get the moment. I will check your website from time-to-time to see where you are! Oh to help you remember who I am, when we saw each other, we always yelled each other's name! I'd yell "INGE!!!" and you'd yell back "ERICA!!" Does that help?? I hope so. Be blessed and be safe! Hello, I am an Episcopal (ECUSA) missionary working in India. I am trying to find an E-mail address for John Patrick Liteky. Imet him in 1984 when I was a resident at an artist's colony in southern California, where Pay was working at the time. I have not been in touch with him for many years, but he came to mind this morning. I went to Google, and find that he has been very active in the peace movement. I find his writings from jail, and other documents, but not a way to contact him. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks. Randall Giles |

Thank you for your website. I am just wandering the internet, trying to figure out if good can defeat evil, or, if war is the only way to prevent the destruction of innocents. I just don't know. There are so many people in this world who want to control and hurt others; many times in the name of religion. And most religions, for the most part, state that war is necessary and even good. Even at the age of 65 I am trying to make sense of humanity. Why do people think it is fine to kill and maim children if they live somewheres else? I live in a country that values alcohol, fighting, war and destroying the environment. What is the use of any voice for peace?? George Johnson |

I am trying to touch base with Berta Lambert. In my six years in Cincinnati, I ran into him many times in Over-the-Rhine and in Clifton. I matched him up with a ride to the Rainbow Gathering in Kentucky. I'm sorry he and I haven't kept in touch since I left Cincinnati. I want very much to hear from him. Paul T. Evans |

I have just discovered this web site and feel honored to be a friend of the likes of Erik, Libby, and all five of the Johnson Children. I know that this family of peacemakers have been overtly involved in working for Justice and Peace for as long as I have known them. Their work truly sustains life. A great website. thank you. Who is it that wants WAR? Everybody I meet wants peace, people march for it, pray for it, starve themselves for it, but we can't have it! WHY? Who are the people who want WAR so much more than the rest of the world wants PEACE? Can we get those people's names out in the open? Are they making SO much from WAR that we all have to go along with them? What if we just said "Hell No, We Won't Go" WWII was the last WAR we fought for a just cause, and there have been plenty since, but for what? This country and every other country has given too many of her young men and women to fight in useless WARS. Roger Eaton |

NA MU MYO HO REN GE KYO I joined the Stop the Bomb walkers (https://peacehq.tripod.com/OSSTBIPW/stbipw-announcement.html ) April 8-9, 2005, driving and walking between Charlottesville and Washington, DC. The overall experience was wonderful, particularly with this being my first time walking with Jun-san. However, I did not participate with the group at Lafayette Park across from the White House on April 9, for two reasons: First, I had a previous obligation to go to Philadelphia that evening. Second, the walkers assembled around and stayed with Concepcion Picciotto's permanent protest site, that includes rabid anti-Zionist messages. www.bestsemester.com/doclib/20040624_Grant.pdf . I am a dovish-leaning Zionist, but still a Zionist. I don't know if the walkers noticed the anti-Zionist messages, since there were many other messages at Ms. Picciotto's protest site, which I have seen before, being a resident of the Washington-DC area. Overall, my brief time on this walk was wonderful. I write more about Jun-san and Nipponzan Myohoji here: http://www.markskatz.com/PeaceFlame.htm http://www.markskatz.com/Sept11.htm http://www.markskatz.com/taichi.htm NA MU MYO HO REN GE KYO Jon Katz |
