Earth Day Run - 2005

On the Nuclear Free Future run last year Larry told me a story about passing a "hollar" that had been filled with rubble from a construction site that he had passed a few hundred yards earlier. The entire side of a mountain had been blown away for a big new super store. He found hope when he came across water flowing down the side of the mountain from a spring just another few hundred yards away. When I took this picture just about a mile from a construction site that demolished a woods I knew how he felt. If every human disappeared from the face of Mother Earth tomorrow she would refurbish herself in time. We need to start thinking about what we are doing to her before we do disappear!
