Providing Peacemakers with Press Releases is a service of Peacehq. If you need a Press Release make sure that it is something relevant to the cause of nonviolent peace and justice. We do not make releases that are designed to enhance commercial enterprises, attack segments of the human society or casual messages that you just want to have on the Internet. In general they should be announcements or articles of interest to the peace community concerning these events.
Peacehq reserves the right not to post Press Releases that do not conform to the rules set down by IndyMedia which is the avenue on which Peacehq posts these Press Releases. Simply speaking, if you have an ax to grind, grind it somewhere else because that is not the purpose for this service. Keep in mind that if you are planning an event and you want a Press Release it takes time so contact Peacehq as far in advance as possible for announcements. A little good advice. Edit what you want to send in a .txt or some type of word processing file and then cut and paste your information into the form. By doing this if something goes wrong in the transmission process at least you will not lose your work. Click the Press Release Form just below and fill out the required information. After receiving your submission Peacehq will contact you via the email address provided in the form and inform you of the status of your Press Release. Normally Peacehq can ascertain the likely places that you want to post the release based on it's content. This information will be emailed to you as well as any changes, corrections or questions. Upon receipt of this email you must return an email telling Peacehq any final changes you might want and to post the Press Release. Peacehq will then go to work posting it and will advise you when it has been entered. Thanks to IndyMedia there are over 70 English speaking locations around the world.
