ADOPT A PRISONER |
The Adopt A Prisoner is not a program that you want to take lightly. Once you adopt a prisoner you established a "sacred trust" between you and the selected prisoner. We recommend your first correspondence be a letter of introduction. If you can, we also recommend sending a small Postal Money Order of $2.00 or $3.00 made out with the name of your prisoner. It is imperative that you make it out with her/his name to prevent them from being stolen! Remember, some prisoners have nothing so it is worth making sure that he/she has enough money to buy a stamp and an envelope just to write back to you. From experience we know that the following are likely to be accepted in most jails and prisons. 1. Letters 2. Paperback books 3. Postal Money Orders 4. Pictures (Poloroid excluded) 5. Post cards Derrlyn, Tom #91362-020 Federal Prison Camp 5675 8th St. Camp Parks Dublin, CA 94568 Group: SOA43 Release Date: 12/06/2003 Lincoln, Patrick #91400-020 FCI, Cumberland P.O. Box 1000 Cumberland, Md. 21501-1000 Group: SOA43 Release Date: 12/08/2003 The important thing about this is that you support these prisoners. However, if you feel so inclined as to fill out a Form and let us know that you are doing this we would appreciate it very much. Our purpose is to support as many prisoners as possible so if one particular prisoner has multiple adoptions we remove that name from the list. Thank you for your consideration in this regard and please click the following link for the adoption form. You should receive an email confirmation that your adoption has been recorded. If you do not receive this confirmation contact Peachq directly or re-submit your adoption. Do not wait for this to happen before you begin your support. Peacheq may be on the road or otherwise busy. If more than two weeks go by without confirmation please contact Peacehq. Please note that if you are a Peacehq member your record of actions will be updated to include this support action. |
