Earth Day Run - 2005
The first glimpse of my goal, the East Fork lake. I was so very happy to see her. What a beauty she is even in these horrible weather conditions. There was a regatta that was supposed to take place this day but it was cancelled. There were dozens of trucks carting out maybe 9 to 12 of these long boats as I was walking in. I couldn't believe my eyes. I don't think they even have as many as they did here at the Olympics! I know it sounds silly but it crossed my mind that Mother knew I was coming to take her picture and she imposed upon us the bad weather so there wouldn't be any boats in the water to pollute her beauty!
