Nuclear Free Future Run - 2004
Jim and Jules's Peace Cranes

In May of this year Jim and Jules were married in Jules's home town of Madison Wisconsin. Peacemaker Erik Johnson performed a beautiful wedding ceremony after which we all retreated out of the rain into the reception hall and we were greeted by about 1,000 peace cranes that Jim and Jules had hanging all over the room.

Jim and Jules decided to divide up the peace cranes and bring half of them to the rally at Y12 to hang on the fences surrounding the facility and send the other half to Japan with Peacemaker Curtis Gutter who would add them to the thousands of others at Hiroshima.

Jim's goal was to have 1,000 of them for the Y12 rally and enlisted his running mates to help him try to reach this goal. Jim and Jules plan to do this for all future rallys held a Y12 and at Hiroshima.

Another visible symbol of peace and a statement that we all feel in our hearts that we must prevent this horror from ever happining again.
