   Protest day begins with a gathering of all the folks who want to make the Pilgrimage from Bissell Park through the streets of Oak Ridge down to the entrance gates at the Y12 complex. The happenings here are sort of a warm up for the actual protest.

   Various speakers and entertainers, Nick Boulet was great, take their turns on stage and what it does is gets everyone focused on the purpose of the days events.

   The runners and walkers from the various pilgrimages that converge on Oak Ridge are introduced to the crowed and they are asked to give a brief statement about their respective actions.

   After all the festivities everyone forms a line, lead by Utsumi and Denise from the Atlanta Dojo (Temple), and when all is ready the walk to the gates of Y12 begins.
