Friends and Family,
Dulce (pronounced dul-say) Lillian Marquez was born at 5:30am April 17th. Lillian is for Fran's mother and for her sister that passed away last summer. Fran's aunt Shirley passed away last week after a long battle with MS and the 17th was her birthday so that was really neat. She weighs 4lbs 12oz and has inch long jet black curls. She is tiny but perfect in every way. She isnt maintaining her body temp very well right now but is eating well. She doesnt look like a preemie...she is just small. She will be called Lily.
They decided to go with a c-section. They wheeled Jessica off and Fran got suited up. She didnt even make it to the room before she was born. They lost the baby's heartbeat and had to go in telling Jessica they had 90 seconds to deliver her or they would lose her. Fran got there to the sight of 5 people clustered around a shrieking baby and 6 around Jessica. She thought her own heart was going to stop. But everything is ok. If all continues to go well we will be able to bring both our girls home on Tuesday. We just want to thank you for your prayers and all the words of encouragement over the past few months.
God has given our family a miracle and we am so grateful.
