Hello everyone,
I am "safe" in Kuwait at an airbase south of the Iraqi border. We are
here supporting the US Marine Corps and the British. We are actually
being assigned as a part of the Marine Air Group and professionally
working with the Marines and the Brits is probably one of the most
rewarding experiences I have had yet as an Army Aviator. They all love
Dustoff (the name given to Army medical evacuation units). For those
of you that didn't get my address, here goes:
Captain Jeremy McKenzie
498th Medical Company (Air Ambulance)
APO AE 09855
Mail takes about 2-3 weeks so far so please do send mail. Food and
hygiene items are always appreciated and will be shared by all. You
can email me at this address but please don't send any forwards, the
system is way to slow so I am sorry but you'll have to send
personalized letters. Also don't expect an instantanious reply, email
communications are at a premium over here with only 5 hook ups for our
150 people.
Well I will talk to everyone later. Please keep in touch and say a
prayer for the 1000s of people like me who are deployed.
Love, DUSTOFF, Check Six, and Cheers from,
Jeremy
PS If anyone is a part of an organization that would like to adopt my
company to write to soldiers it would be much appreciated. I have 136
people in the company so if you are interested send a box addressed to
me with the letters. I know the soldiers would appreciate it.
