Earth Day 2005

I have been walking this same route on Earth Day for four years in a row and look forward to certain locations I pass. This is one of them. It is on state route 125 about 4 miles east of Amelia. You can't see it from the highway itself as you drive along. You have to be on foot. Off to the right is a rocky cliff like structure that leads down to the creek you see in the picture. The creek disappears in the thickness of the trees and brush as it meanders toward East Fork lake. I don't know if it reaches East Fork and I often have a desire to try to follow it and see. It truely is a beautiful display by Mother Earth and it seems a shame that I may be one of the few people whoever gets to see it.
