Nulcear Free Future Run - 2007

Larry Crane watches as Jon Blickenstaff, our traditional lead off man, takes the first steps down a wet street somewhere just south of the state capital in Columbus, Ohio, on what is a 9 day, and over 460 mile journey that will be a challenge of the body, mind, Spirit, heart, and Soul for all of us who put down Foot Prayers for a cause we believe in.

At this new beginning we are both joyous for the opportunity ahead and nervous with a tinge of trepidation for the difficulty of completing our mission. Many torrid days and and tall mountains stand between us and the gates of the Y12 facility (the last nuclear weapons manufacturing site in the USA). This year in order to publicize opposition for the proposed construction of a new nuclear enrichment plant at Piketon, Ohio, we are adding 2 running days to our event by starting at Columbus rather than our normal start at Horseshoe mound in Portsmouth.

See ya down the road!
