Flag Day On The Common
07/09/2003

Thought you'd like to know: on Flag Day (Farmer's market Day) the RedGate Affinity Group (median age 60) was tabling on the Common. They flew the flag upside down. That provoke so many comments that they added a sign explaining that this was a military distress signal. One young man, however couldn't accept this. He was so agitated at the perceived disrespect that he returned and spit on the table. Yuk!

The new little parking officer called in to the police. An officer came to investigate . The officer left his card and said to call if anyone needed assistance.

Dovid HaShalom marched/flew/ sweated/ran in the 4th of July Parade along with a group of people who carried nice signs saying things like Freedom from Fear, Freedom from Illegal Search - etc. He worked the crowd, especially the children. Most people applauded wildly. Some thought he was an eagle, but they were soon disabused.
