Prisoners Of Conscience
The Run - Introduction

"I have to suck in my emotions as I read the heartfelt thanks from those prisoners of conscience. We are blessed and honored to have the run as a method of supporting our friends in prison. I really think it brings tangible sustenance to them. The energy we expend on the road is an offering of strength for them. They are stronger and more able to stay true to their convictions, the reason they are there in the first place, by our running."

This Run page dosen't look like the other Runs you have seen in Peacehq because it is unique in that it is the first of it's kind. So, this Run will be recorded as it actually manifested itself and will include details to provide an historical perspective.

The background picture is symbolic in that it was the very first cryptic little note that was received from a prisoner some four months before the Run. It was scratched out on a scrap of paper and delivered to me via Erik and Libby Johnson.

To me this run was the greatest Run I ever had the priviledge to participate in.
