Today was a travel day. First thing in the morning we walked to the center of Belfast where we caught a bus to the ferry which would take us to Scotland. Loading onto the ferry was pretty exciting because it was similar to a cruise ship with lots of entertainment and food available. The two hour ferry ride was smooth and fast as the ferry was a catamaran type vessel driven by jet engines that shot water out the back leaving a huge wake.

We landed at Stranren, on the west coast of Scotland, then rode another bus to Glasgow. The ride was through beautiful hills and meadows with lots of views of the sea. We finally got to Glasgow about noon and walked from the bus station in the center of the city to the Landsdown Church where we would spend the next two nights. There was plenty of time left in the afternoon for people to explore Glasgow. In the evening our group was blessed with the addition of two new walkers, Father Bill Bicksel and Bernie Meyer (the American Gandhi) both from the state of Washington in the US.
