Thanks heaps to the Reading Peace Group and the Quakers for a wonderful stay and great support.

The sun shone brightly on us today, and we enjoyed the many different fruits along the way. We have marginally taken a few miles off our walk this week as we wearily make our way into London.

We had a great surprise waiting for us as we entered Maidenhead with a few local people and their energetic children joining us. It was a joy to the walk to have such energy and enthusiasm as they politely gave out flyers to people walking past us.

When we arrived at the Friends Meeting House they provided us with tea and delicious home-made sweety treats that the children so kindly shared around to us.

It was so lovely to sit outside in the courtyard under the shade of a beautiful old tree. We believe that a bird dropped the seed, we gave thanks to the beauty this has given to many people including us. As we gave thanks, we heard a pure young voice repeat after us …‘thank you bird’
